Pharmaceuticals Combat Counterfeit Drugs With RFID

Tagsys USA Inc. will work with West Pharmaceutical Services Inc. to offer a custom technology that provides manufacturers of injectable pharmaceuticals with increased protection against drug counterfeiting and tampering. The new technology, West Spectra, introduced at the Parenteral Drug Association Annual Meeting, uses overt, covert and track-and-trace RFID technologies that help to ensure product authenticity.
