Tracking Cattle With RFID
"Farmers in New South Wales, Western Australia, Queensland and South Australia have passed the deadline to fall into line with the National Livestock Identification Scheme (NLIS). The NLIS uses RFID in place of traditional tail tags to improve accountability and bring the Australian meat market in line with international practices. The identification system enables individual animals to be tracked over the course of their lives — from birth to slaughter — for food safety and product integrity." Source: supplychainreview.com
