Calumet Electronics announces RoHS Compliance for Printed Circuit Boards

"The European Union Directive 2002/95/EC places restrictions on the use of hazardous substances including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) in electronic equipment. CEC has developed a new line of printed circuit boards that comply with those restrictions. RoHS Compliant circuit boards are made from an FR4 base material with the appropriate Tg rating is used to meet the higher process temperatures associated with lead-free assembly. Electroless Nickel/Immersion Gold (IPC-4552), Immersion Silver (IPC-4553), or Lead-Free Solder (Sn100CL) surface plating alternatives are available." Source: Free-Press-Release.com
