NPL announces web cast 'RoHS Legislation and Supply Chain Issues'

"National Physical Laboratory has announced a web cast on 12th December 2005 at 15.30 pm. This presentation will give examples of potential pitfalls during the transition to lead-free to help in preparing a plan that considers pit falls concerning supply chain issues. The web cast will also deal with difficult questions which have been hard to answer as industry waits for the legislative goalposts to settle, such as: Are you a producer of EEE under the WEEE/RoHS directive, or is this actually your customer? Is this clear and understood in your supply chain? What responsibilities will you accept as a supplier, or pass on as a customer? Who owns the BOM for your product? Who ensures it will be compliant? What actually needs to be in place in July 2006? What is the definition of lead-free?" Source: emsnow.com
