Groschopp Introduces RoHS Compliant Motors

"Groschopp, Inc., has announced manufacturing compliance with the European Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive. The directive requires that all electrical and electronic products registered with the European Union be free of restricted toxins as of July 2006. Groschopp has taken a proactive approach ahead of the worldwide schedule by producing fractional HP motors that use lead-free solder as of December 2005. The company will replace its Sn50 Pb50 solder for Sn96.4Ag3.0Cu0.5 lead-free solder. Solder processes including the flux and cleaner used will remain the same." Source: automation.com
